Plots within plots. Wow, I'm impressed.

The series continues with murder, both human and planetary being done, in the name of Muad Dib. Paul Attredies realizes the error of this way and takes on the forum of The Preacher, walking the streets of Arrakeen and the dunes of Arakis foretelling, predicting and seeing his visions. The political intrigue and character developement is vast and well done.

They got rid of the bad Jessica and got a much better one. Alice 'The Borg Queen' Kreige portrays Jessica more like she should be. Wise, a ruler yet sensitive to others. Not just a silly woman.

I LOL when the spacing guild representative called Susan Sarandon 'a princess.' That leftist old Harridan, I suppose they just HAD to get someone famous.

Pauls twins are born (why didn't they know there were twins?) and later, Alia is made regent until they are of age. Alia wishes to be like Paul so constantly puts herself in danger of spice overload. At first, her visions are safe until her grandfather, whom she killed as a child, the Baron Harkonnen, begins creeping into her head and Alia slowly becomes the enemy.

I'm glad they killed the riddler guy off and didn't leave his annoying ass there for very long. I loathe riddlers.

The talking with hands while there are ears to hear was fantastic and there were 2 more similar lines here as in Dune, always uttered by the bad guys which I find amusing.

Here are my interpretations:

The Baron to his granddaughter: "You killed me. but here I am. I admire yoir ruthlessness. You're a good dog!"

Harridan Princess to her son after he betrayed (yeah!) her: "You insolent bastard! I demand you not say another word! You're more of a man than I'd ever hoped! GOOD dog!"
