Kinda boring and then WHAM! one of the best chase scenes.
Excellent ending! Ironic to the hilt.
One thing this movie didn't have that the others did, was a new, super, over the top Terminator. The TX, while now female, is really only an advanced model of the T1000 or liquid metal man from the second installment. Still... she's pretty cool, but I never got the sense of doom and indestructability from her like the first two. A pity, but apparently no one could come up with anything to vastly outdo the T800 or T1000. In filming, they also apparently chose not to dwell on her ability to recuperate and her complete (or seemingly complete) indestructability. Personally, I thought the T1000 and the T800 were better presented. Still... this movie is a worthy match to go with the others and worth the price of admission.
The exciting chase scene involves several cops cars, street cars, a fire engine, and one big honkin' crane on wheels that did an impressive wheelie on it's side. That little 10 minutes of action must have cost millions! And worth every penny.
Nick Stahl is definitely an improvement over Edward Furlough as John Conner, too. In this, we get to see a bit more of how the whole thing happened, and like I mentioned, it's a cool ending, something I didn't expect. The ending was right, it works and it's clever... that's all I'll say about it. The T800 (Auuuunold, of course) is as always, cracking good dry wit jokes. This movie also meshes a bit of old plot lines and action sequences from the other two movies, but not to a detriment, IMO. We even have your standard gay joke at the beginning. The glasses thing was a hoot.
